20 Easy Digital Cat Drawing Ideas For Beginners

Okay, let’s start these digital cat drawing ideas for beginners with some easy cat faces. Cat faces are really not hard to draw and you can experiment with different expressions, such as cute, happy, surprised, grumpy, and so on!

    1. Easy Cute Cat Face

Drawing a cute cat face is really easy. The cat face I’ve drawn below consists of just a couple of lines for nose, eyes, ears and whiskers.

    2. Easy Grumpy Cat Face

We all know that cats can be in a bad mood sometimes, and drawing a grumpy cat face is as easy as drawing a cute one! All you need to change is the expression of the eyes—by simply changing the position of the eyebrows you give your cat a grumpy look.

    3. Easy Sleeping Cat Face

Cats are sleepy beings. They sleep up to 16 hours per day! That’s why we shouldn’t fail to draw a sleeping cat face as well, right?. Here’s my suggestion for drawing an easy sleeping cat face:

    4. Cute Cat Face with Bow

Let’s draw a cutie cat with a bow on the head! This can be a nice idea for a birthday gift for a girl. Simply draw the eyes as black dots and add a little white dot on the top so it seems like the cat is looking up to the bow.

    5. Sitting Cat from the Front

Do you think that it’s harder to draw an entire cat than just the face? You ‘re wrong, my friend! A sitting cat is as easy to draw! Just like the face, you can draw the cat with a couple of lines. Here’s an easy digital drawing idea of a sitting cat from the front that every beginner can make!

    6. Sitting Cat from Behind

Yes, you guessed it. If drawing a sitting cat from the front is easy, drawing a sitting cat from the back is just as simple. You basically need three lines: one from the left ear down to the bottom, another one on the right completing the right ear and the cat’s head, and a third line for the tail. That’s already it!

    7. Sitting Cat with Heart

This is yet another cute idea for a gift to a loved one. Adding a little heart to the sitting cat is super-easy and makes your digital cat drawing super-sweet. Draw the heart, outline the ears, head and body, add the tail and some whiskers—and your sitting cat is ready!

    8. Sleeping Cat from Behind

Let’s go on with another easy digital cat drawing idea. To display a sleeping cat from behind, you’ll only need to draw the ears, three lines to outline the head, one line for the body, and another one for the tail. That’s all!

    9. Cat Sleeping on Pillow

I have another drawing idea for you: a cat sleeping on a pillow. Start by drawing the cat’s ears and head. Then draw a curved line on the left for the pillow and on the right for the cat’s body. After that, draw some smaller tube shapes for the paws.

Don’t forget to add some stripes that symbolize the folds of the pillow. My cat has some stripes; you can also draw some for your cat—or add a tail if you wish!

    10. Cute Cat with Bow Tie

This is probably a drawing idea for a boy: a cute cat with a bow tie. I kept it very simple. You just need to draw the ears and a cute cat face with whiskers. After that, draw a huge black bow tie. I added two little paws at the bottom, just for fun. But it will also look super-cute without them!

    11. Little Kitten Lying on the Back

Cats have kittens, so let’s draw a little kitty, too. One easy drawing idea is a kitten lying on its back. I suggest that you start by drawing the paws. It’s just four circular shapes and inside you add one big dot and four smaller ones for the pads and claws.

Draw a big circle for the head, add ears, eyes, and whiskers. Lastly, draw a little tail and a few stripes—and maybe a heart, if you like.

    12. Cat Surprising You with Flowers

This cute cat drawing is great for a surprise gift for a loved one. As you can see, the little cat below is hiding a bunch of flowers behind its back.

It’s not difficult to draw at all. Draw a big circle for the head. The body is simply some curved lines for the arms and the legs. Add a tail and whiskers—and some flowers peeking out from behind the back. If you like, add some splashes of color for the flowers and the cat’s cheeks.

    13. Cat Sleeping on the Floor

The easiest way to draw a cat that is sleeping on the floor is by starting with the head. Draw the ears and then three curved lines to outline the head. After that, you can draw the two forepaws. Then draw another line for the hind paw.

Lastly, you can draw the tail and the back in one line. Don’t worry if your line gets a bit wobbly. Our cat doesn’t have to be perfect, just cute!

    14. Cat Stretching

What does a cat do after sleeping? Yes, it stretches! And cats look really cute when they stretch, right? So let’s draw a stretching cat. Start again with the head. Draw the ears and again three curved lines to outline the head.

After that, you just need to draw a tube shape for the first forepaw. Then draw another tube shape for the second forepaw that goes up to the cat’s belly. All that remains now is the upper body, the two hind paws and the tail, all requiring simply a few strokes—and your stretching cat is ready!

    15. Cute Kitten Sitting

Let’s draw another kitten because they’re so sweet! In this easy digital drawing idea, I have a sitting kitten for you that is quickly done. As usual, I recommend starting with the head. For the body, you only need to draw the two forepaws and one hind paw. Then just add a tail and your cute sitting kitten is finished!

    16. Naughty Kitten Sticking Out Its Tongue

Kids can be naughty and little kittens, too! So, a naughty kitten mustn’t be missing in this compilation of easy digital cat drawing ideas for beginners. It’s really not hard to draw because all it takes to make a kitten look naughty is drawing a stuck out tongue. Here we go:

    17. Nosy Kitty Peeking over a Wall

Since we are already talking about naughty kittens, let’s draw a nosy kitty that’s peeking over a wall. Just draw a cat face and two little paws. Don’t worry too much about the wall—just as I said above, nothing has to be perfect. My wall isn’t perfectly straight either, but it does the job!

    18. Curled Up Kitty with Hearts

Now, this is a really cute drawing, made of simple line art. Draw the head, then add two little round shapes for the paws below. For the body, you just need to draw one curved line. Draw a little heart for the nose and add other little hearts around the curled up kitty, wherever you wish!

    19. Kitty in a Cup

This is a fun drawing: a kitty in a cup. In this case, I recommend starting with the cup. Once you’ve finished drawing the cup, you can add a cat face on top of it. The eyes in the picture below are easy to draw but still expressive. All you need is two big black dots and then two smaller white dots on top of them. By the way, you can as well draw a kitty in an ice cream cone!

    20. Sitting Kitty with Heart

Last but not least, I have a cute and easy digital cat drawing idea for you: a little kitty with a heart. You already know by now how to draw various cats. For this one, just include a heart shape between the paws. Big eyes and a couple of hairs on the head make this kitty look adorable.
