Artistic people have the reputation of being attractive. Just think of all the mistresses and love affairs that some of the famous artists had. That doesn’t mean that most artists are good looking, but they must have some sort of charisma that makes them attractive. What is it exactly? Why are artists so attractive? Well, here are 6 reasons you should have a look at!
In my previous posts, I talked a lot about the—let’s say—more problematic things about being an artist. I spoke about why artists are weird and that artists are so sensitive that it is hard for them to move around in daily life.
Now it’s about time to look at the brighter side about being an artist! And yes, there are good things about artists. It’s not so bad at all to be creating art…
Today, we want to delve into some reasons why artists are so attractive.
Yes, you heard me right.
Being an artist makes you attractive. Guys find artists attractive—and the other way round (or the same way round, however you like)—and I even read that artists are the best lovers and that artists are better in bed. (◔ᴥ◔)
But that’s not our topic in this post…
Right now, we want to find out why creative people are more attractive than the rest of the world, so let’s get into it!
Does being an artist make you attractive?
Artists have always been sex symbols, right? Especially the performing artists. Just think of some of the famous actors and singers. They all have their very own circle of fans—or groupies.
But the visual artists don’t fall short in any way.
Spanish painter Pablo Picasso (1881–1973), for example, used to have affairs with countless women; some of them even decades younger than himself. Many of his love affairs would famously become the subject of his greatest paintings. Up to today, galleries still exhibit his work according to which lover he was painting at the time.
Likewise, naturalistic painter Lucian Freud (1922–2011), the grandson of Austrian psychologist Sigmund Freud, was said to have a multitude of mistresses that served him as muses for his portraits and nude paintings.
These are just two examples among many, many more.

But why are artistic people so attractive? It’s not that most artists are good looking, is it?
Well, one reason why artists are so attractive is their aura—and on the most basic level, their actual physical surroundings. Artists have exhibitions, and art shows are known to be glamorous with lots of fancy people hanging around.
But even the virtual life of an artist can be thrilling. Lots of artists have huge communities of fans and followers on social media. If you are the “chosen one” of an artist, you can feel flattered to be featured in their posts and get a piece of the fame cake.
Apart from that, many artists exude an air of mystery, eccentricity, and rebellion. They are known for being free spirits and not willing to respect the rules (bad boy image anyone?). I guess it’s pretty exciting to be around them.
But even if you don’t have gallery exhibitions, a large social media following and a rebellious spirit, the cliché of the “hot artist” might already be enough to make you attractive… (ಠ‿↼)

Let’s get serious. It’s a fact. Creative people are more attractive than others, and there are a few sturdy reasons why that is so!

1. Artists Naturally Love Aesthetics.
Why are most artists good looking? Well, the explanation is pretty straightforward. Artists, and especially visual artists, have a natural love for aesthetics.
They have a deep appreciation for beauty. They love to display beauty in their art. They love to surround themselves with beautiful things, and naturally, they love to take care of themselves and “look beautiful.”
Even if an artist isn’t “good looking” per se, a snazzy appearance will potentially make an artist attractive.
This also answers the question whether guys find artists attractive. Of course, a guy will feel more attracted to a girl when she is well put together. And the other way round.
But apart from the outward appearance, there are more things that make artists so attractive… Let’s go on.
2. Artists Find Beauty In Everything.
Artists have the habit of finding beauty in everything—even in the tiniest, most unspectacular things.
What’s more, artists are even able to transform the ugly into something beautiful. Just think of all those beautiful sculptures that are created from ugly things, trash and garbage—or knives, including some of them from violent knife fights…
When you are with an artist, you will discover charm and splendor in the most mundane stuff. That way, an artist can add new spice and positivity to your life!

3. Artists Will Make You See The World With Different Eyes.
In a recent post, I already explained that artists have different brains. That’s why they see the world with different eyes.
When you are dating an artist, you can be sure to visit places that you’ve never seen before. You will not only get to see the artistic hotspots in your neighborhood, but also other areas that you’d never have thought of to be worth visiting.
Artists tend to have an exquisite taste, so be prepared to get to know places and do things you didn’t even know were fun!
4. Artists Make The Best Gifts.
Artists are creative people, and to show you their appreciation, they will make sure to give you very special gifts.
They will put a lot of time and thought into choosing a gift that is unique and truly personal. If they cannot find the perfect gift for you in a shop, they will create something for you.
In any case, you can be sure that your artist friend is dedicated to give you something meaningful that lives up to your expectations and desires. Could it be any better?

5. Artists Are Passionate.
Another reason why artists are so attractive is their innate passion. Passion is probably the main motivator why most artists started to make art in the first place. They simply let their passion guide them and followed their calling.
But artists are not only passionate when it comes to creating art. Artists are very emotional beings in general; they tend to have high emotional intelligence.
They are sensitive and express their feelings passionately and honestly. You know that without passion, a relationship will fall apart sooner or later.
Artists are the best lovers because they have that special spark of enthusiasm that never lets your love life become boring!
6. Artists Will Make You Their Muse.
Artists need inspiration to create art. They need muses to ignite their creative spark.
When you are in a romantic relationship with an artist, chances are they will make you their muse. They will paint you in their paintings, take photographs of you, make sculptures, and so on. Can someone do any more to make you feel special?
And how special would you feel when your lover’s art featuring yourself gets exhibited in a gallery? Well, if that’s your thing, then it’s probably about time to get an artist sweetheart!
