    Should I use Tailwind?

Whether or not you should use Tailwind for Pinterest depends on what you’re looking to achieve on the pinning social media platform. If you’re looking to market products and services on Pinterest, then Tailwind is the perfect app to help you do that.

Pinning an image here and there to one of your Pinterest boards is surely nothing back-breaking. But if you want to use Pinterest as a marketing tool to drive traffic to your blog, then Tailwind is half the battle.

Posting every day from your phone or your computer can be tedious and time-consuming. This is where Tailwind comes in!

The Tailwind App is easy to use and extremely affordable, and it takes a whole lot of work out of your hands by letting you schedule your posts for one month in advance!

Last but not least, Tailwind is an official Pinterest partner, so you can sleep easy at night knowing that you’re not putting your account at risk and that the Tailwind widget is a legitimate tool to use without violating Pinterest’s policies!

What does the Tailwind App do?

Pinterest has long been underestimated by many digital marketers, despite the fact that it has more than 400 million active monthly users. That’s huge!

Pinterest is the third most popular social media site, following closely behind Facebook and Instagram. According to Pinterest, the platform drives 3.8 times greater sales than the average digital campaign. How’s that possible?

On Pinterest, you can create interest boards and directly connect them to products and services you offer on your website or blog. An outstanding 47% of Pinterest users log onto the site specifically to shop. That’s unique to Pinterest, and that’s also the reason why the platform’s average order value of sales is about $50 – the highest among social networks.

So, what does the Tailwind App do for you with all of that?

Tailwind will do everything that’s needed to boost your Pinterest traffic. With Tailwind, you can create a posting schedule for your pins, discover relevant content, expand your audience, track analytics, and measure your Pinterest performance!

    What is Tailwind for Pinterest?

All in all, Tailwind is a Pinterest scheduler with amazing marketing functions. In particular, Tailwind allows you to:

    • Schedule pins to post at the optimal time
    • Upload pins to multiple boards at the same time
    • Track the performance of your profile, pin boards, and individual pins
    • Increase your audience reach with Tailwind Tribes
    • Market your content and monitor trends

Not so long ago, Tailwind included scheduling and publishing for Instagram. Its main features, though, are aimed at Pinterest – and that’s what Tailwind is still doing best!

If you’re looking for a great Instagram scheduler, check out Planoly. Planoly is a fantastic option to manage your Instagram feed, from planning and publishing posts, to managing hashtags, tracking analytics, and much more. And what’s even better, there’s also a free plan available!

    Scheduling and publishing pins

What is Tailwind for Pinterest Scheduling?

Tailwind’s scheduling and publishing features can save you a whole lot of time and effort. Instead of manually pinning one pin at a time, Tailwind allows you to upload images in bulk and pin them to multiple boards at the same time.

Using the Chrome browser extension is just one way of publishing images with Tailwind. You can also upload multiple pins from your computer, or schedule repins directly from Pinterest.

    Defining your schedule

Once you’ve uploaded the pins you want to publish into Tailwind, you can start defining your publishing schedule.

Defining the publishing schedule is done in a drag-and-drop calendar. You don’t need to have any coding skills or work out a schedule yourself. So it’s super-easy for anyone to use!

The Smart Scheduler is one of Tailwinds core features. It’s basically a drag-and-drop calendar on the right-hand side of the Tailwind App that will suggest the best times to pin your content based on the audience of your profile.

There’s a range of different time slots marked on the calendar: the dotted time slots are Tailwind’s recommendations for you. These are the times when people are most active on Pinterest.

As you’re getting started with Tailwind, it’s very useful to have these suggestions because they show you the best posting times for your pins!

Once you’ve dropped a pin onto one of the suggested time slots, it turns green.

There’s no limit on the time slots you can have per day. You can also go ahead and add your own time slots, which will then show in gray.

If you want to change the order of your pins, all you need to do is click on the little padlock icon and then drag and drop the pin onto a new time slot.

As soon as Tailwind has gathered enough analytics about your Pinterest profile, you can create your very own smart schedule based on what posting times are ideal for you!

    Board Lists

If you’re familiar with Pinterest, you know that you can have multiple boards for related topics. To make it easy for you to manage all these boards, Tailwind features Board Lists.

A Board List is a group of different boards around the same topic. Instead of posting the same pin to all the boards that match it, Tailwind allows you to schedule the pin to be posted to all relevant boards – at one click and at different times!

Posting the same pin manually will make it appear on all boards in close succession, which is not optimal for generating Pinterest traffic!

Tailwind’s Schedule Now option lets you specify the time interval between each post. You can set the interval from 10 minutes up to 90 days – it’s totally up to you!

This is not only great for posting at the optimal times but also for keeping your Pinterest account alive while you’re offline!

    Analytics and insights

What is Tailwind for Pinterest Analytics?

Tailwind provides you will all the analytics you need in order to see how well your Pinterest content is performing – in detail!

Tailwind tracks the performance of your entire profile, individual boards, and even individual pins. The weekly email report brings all the data straight to your inbox.

This makes it a whole lot easier for you to understand what’s happening on your Pinterest account. You can deep dive into the data and insights and see exactly which pin or board is performing the best.

If you notice that a pin is performing extremely well, you can take immediate actions by repinning it multiple times with Tailwind’s Smart Loop feature!

You’ll also be able to see your Virality and Engagement levels over the last 30-day period.

The Board Insights tab gives you similar data about your Pinterest boards. Apart from Virality and Engagement rates, you’ll get the Last 7 days insights for you pins, repins, followers and comments of individual boards and group boards.

This makes is super-easy for you to keep track of your Pinterest performance, and you never miss the chance of repinning a viral pin again!

    Tailwind Tribes

What is Tailwind for Pinterest Niche Traffic?

Tailwind Tribes are very similar to Pinterest groups. They are communities of like-minded people working in similar industries. Tailwind Tribes are meant to help people in the same niche connect and share each other’s content.

There are two main challenges that you face as a blogger on Pinterest: getting your content out to an interested audience and finding related, high-quality content to repin.

Tailwind Tribes are user groups who pin content around similar topics. They are a great place to find people interested in your blog posts and other content collaboration.

Currently, Tailwind has over 4000 niches you can select from. That makes it easy to find new influencers to team up with and grow your audience.

    Joining a tribe

You can go into Tailwind Tribes and browse through the tribes that are available for your art niche.

Before requesting to join a tribe, you should always make sure to check the number of members and the activity level of the tribe.

For the beginning, it’s a good idea to join a medium-size tribe. Of course, you want to get increased exposure for your content by getting it seen by lots of members. However, the downside of huge tribes is that there’s so much content being shared and repinned within the group, that you might have a hard time getting your content noticed at all.

Once you’ve requested to join a tribe, they’ll probably ask you a few questions before accepting you to the group. When you are accepted in the tribe, you can view the tribe members and the pins they’ve shared, and start posting your own content.

    Are Tailwind Tribes free?

Keep in mind that there’s a limited number of tribes you can join. Tailwind’s Plus Plan allows you to join up to 5 Tailwind Tribes for free.

So if you’ve joined a tribe and you don’t see increased engagement on the pins you posted, let’s say in the first or second week after joining, it can be better to leave the tribe and find one with members that are more active on your content.

After all, it’s all about testing the waters and seeing what works best for you!

    Tailwind Create

What is Tailwind for Pinterest Pin Design?

With Tailwind Create, you can design your pins – super-fast and super-easy!

All you need to do is upload your photos and then let Tailwind Create do the rest for you! If you don’t have any photos of your own available, Tailwind Create will let you pick from stock photos at one click of a button.

There are tons of premade pin designs that you can use. You can personalize your pins by choosing a color palette from the dropdown menu, adding titles, subtitles, and – very important – call to actions.

On top of that, you can select Branding options, as Website or Brand name, or Logo to keep your branding consistent.

    Tailwind Pricing

Do you have to Pay for Tailwind?

Unfortunately, Tailwind currently doesn’t offer a free plan. There’s a free trial you can test out, which allows you to schedule up to 100 pins to Pinterest. The good thing is there’s no time limit on the trial period. You can decide over what period of time you want to schedule your 100 pins.

Plus, you don’t need to give your credit details when registering for the free trial. Pretty fair!

How much is Tailwind a Month?

Currently, Tailwind offers only one plan, which is the Plus Plan for $9.99 a month. If you pay on an annual basis, you can save $60.

The Plus Plan gives you access to all the features described above for one Pinterest profile. You can schedule an unlimited number of pins, you can join up to 5 Tailwind Tribes, and design up to 15 pins per month with Tailwind Create.

If you need more of any of Tailwind’s features, you can buy additional packages. To design another 15 pins per month, you can buy a Tailwind Create package for $7.49. If you want to join more than 5 tribes, there’s the Tailwind Communities package for you, which starts at $4.99 per month and lets you join another 5 tribes.
