Of course, you can also sell your art on WordPress. There are various ways to build an online store for your artwork.
WooCommerce is the most popular eCommerce plugin for WordPress sites. And the best thing is that it’s free and very powerful! You can create an entire storefront with digital and physical products, shopping cart, discounts and coupons, product management, shipping zone and tax rate calculation, and much more.
Apart from that, you can integrate payment gateways like Stripe and Paypal using Woo Payments, and add other services, such as shipping providers, newsletter opt-ins, wishlists, live chats, Trustpilot reviews, printing providers like Printful that will handle physical print sales for you, and many, many more.

I’ve read some excellent stuff here. Definitely worth bookmarking for revisiting. Thank you for all your efforts you put into this website!
Thank you so much, Quincy, it means a lot to me to hear that from my readers! ♥︎
I enjoy reading through and I conceive this website got some truly useful stuff on it! .
Great to hear that! Thanks for leaving a comment, Geanopulos.
Howdy! Do you know if they make any plugins to help with SEO?
I’m trying to get my blog to rank for some targeted keywords but I’m not seeing very good gains. If you know of any please share. Many thanks!
Hi Sibyl!
WordPress itself doesn’t make any SEO plugins. However, you can add a third-party plugin to optimize your posts.
YoastSEO and RankMath, for example, are great plugins for search optimization. They’re both free!
I’m using YoastSEO for my website, too.
This review was a lifesaver! Now that my website is up, how do I optimize it for search engines? Any specific plugins or strategies you recommend to improve visibility and attract more visitors to my artist portfolio?
For search engine optimization I recommend using a plugin like YoastSEO or RankMath. Both are powerful SEO plugins that show you where your content needs optimization to rank well in Google and other search engines. They are both free, so you can try them out to see which one you like better. I’m personally using YoastSEO for my site.
I tried WordPress for my art website, but I found it a bit overwhelming at first. After spending some time learning the ropes, I now appreciate the powerful tools it offers. It’s definitely a solid platform for artists, but be ready to invest some time in getting to know all its features.
I agree. It takes some time getting to grips with WordPress. I think I’ve probably spend altogether three months watching tutorials, learning and setting up everything. First you have to understand the WordPress dashboard, then your theme, then WooCommerce and then maybe your page builder. But I believe in the end, it really pays off. You have your own super-versatile website that just belongs to you!
